Dong Thap: Border Guards and Residents Make 800 Banh Tet for Policy Families

In Vietnam's southern Dong Thap province, border guard soldiers (Bộ đội Biên phòng) and local residents have collaborated to produce 800 "banh tet," a traditional sticky rice cake. This activity aims to support underprivileged families and the families of fallen soldiers in commemoration of the upcoming 79th anniversary of "Day for Fallen Soldiers and Heroes." The initiative is also positioned as part of the "Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign 2026," serving as an opportunity to contribute to the local community and deepen the solidarity among soldiers. Soldiers were seen diligently participating in the process of wrapping banh tet alongside community residents. Dong Thap province is strategically located in the Mekong Delta region, bordering Cambodia.
