Tropical Storm Dujuan Continues to Affect Cambodia with Rain and Thunderstorms Until September 23

Tropical Storm Dujuan (T2625) has intensified into a typhoon and continues to impact the Kingdom of Cambodia. Rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected in several provinces and areas until September 23. According to an announcement by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology on the morning of September 21, the storm "Dujuan" continues to influence the southwest monsoon blowing over the Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, South China Sea, Mekong River Basin, Cambodian Sea, and the Kingdom of Cambodia. However, the Kingdom of Cambodia is not directly in the path of the storm. The ministry's announcement details the expected weather conditions from September 21 to 23: In lowland areas, the minimum temperature will be 25°C and the maximum 33°C. Winds will blow from the southwest and southeast at an average speed of 3 meters per second. Provinces such as Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Pursat, Kampong Chhnang, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Kampong Cham, Tboung Khmum, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, Takeo, Kandal, and Phnom Penh capital city may experience rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds covering 50% of the area. In plateau areas, the minimum temperature will be 24°C and the maximum 31°C. Winds will blow from the southwest and west at an average speed of 5 meters per second. Provinces like Kampong Speu, Pailin, Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear, Kratie, Stung Treng, Ratanakiri, Mondulkiri, the Dangrek Mountains, and the Cardamom Mountains may experience rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds covering 70% of the area. In coastal areas, the minimum temperature will be 25°C and the maximum 34°C. Winds will blow from the southwest and southeast at an average speed of 3 meters per second. Provinces such as Koh Kong, Sihanoukville, Kampot, Kep, and the Bokor Mountain range may experience rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds covering 60% of the area.
