Cambodian Ministry of Rural Development Visits Frontline Troops with Donations

A senior official from Cambodia's Ministry of Rural Development visited frontline troops in Preah Vihear province, offering encouragement and donations. On the morning of September 13, 2026, Mr. Un Chantha, Secretary of State, representing Minister Chhay Rithisen, led a ministry delegation to visit the Preah Vihear-facing security command. The visit aimed to boost the morale and provide sincere support to the heroic soldiers who are dedicating their physical and mental strength to defending peace and territorial integrity for the motherland. During the occasion, Mr. Un Chantha conveyed the deepest regards, sincere remembrance, and profound affection from Minister Chhay Rithisen to all Cambodian soldiers stationed on the front lines defending the nation. He emphasized that under the leadership of the Minister, the Ministry of Rural Development consistently pays close attention to the armed forces, especially in their endeavor to protect national sovereignty and territorial integrity, driven by patriotism, resolute will, bravery, and a strong sense of responsibility in all circumstances. The Secretary of State expressed profound respect and gratitude to the commanders, deputy commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and all soldiers who have sacrificed their flesh, blood, and lives to defend the nation, the motherland, and to ensure peace and happiness for citizens nationwide. Concurrently, Mr. Un Chantha highlighted the continued adherence to the peace vision of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, who stated, "War cannot end war. Only through peaceful resolution of conflicts, dialogue, negotiation, and consultation can sustainable peace be achieved." He added that legal, peaceful, and understanding-based approaches are the only way to avoid loss of life and the suffering of the people. Mr. Un Chantha also expressed his deepest gratitude to Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, for continuing the historic legacy of leading the nation with a clear and pragmatic vision towards becoming a high-income country by 2050.
