Revolutionary forces attack, seize and burn down military outpost at U Yaung Bridge in Minbu Township

Yangon, July 2 It has been reported by Minbu-Saku PDF that a military outpost located at U Yaung Bridge in Minbu Township, Magway Region, was attacked, seized, and burned down by revolutionary forces. It is understood that on June 28, in the early morning hours around 12:20 AM, revolutionary forces entered and attacked the military outpost situated at the top of U Yaung Bridge. The attack lasted for approximately 30 minutes, during which the outpost was seized and subsequently set ablaze and destroyed. During the battle, the military side suffered numerous casualties and retreated. On the side of the revolutionary forces, it was reported that Comrade Pho Thar, the deputy responsible person for Minbu Township PDF, was hit by gunfire during the battle and sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. In the battle to seize the outpost, 5.56 caliber bullets, some Inaga bombs, and two military helmets were seized. However, the small arms carried by the soldiers were left on the other side of the bridge, preventing the revolutionary forces from conducting a thorough sweep of the area and thus being unable to collect the weapons, it was learned. It is understood that this attack was carried out in collaboration with Minbu Township PDF, Chin Defense Force (Asho) CDF (Asho), and New Social Army (NSA). Minbu-Saku Township PDF has stated that they are a force that prioritizes military victory and the peaceful living of the public, and they will continue to resist and fight until the dictatorial regime is completely eradicated.
