Chemical leak at University of Medicine 1 laboratory

A chemical leak occurred at the laboratory within the compound of the University of Medicine 1 in Lammadaw Township, Yangon Region, at approximately 9:45 AM on July 13, according to an announcement by the Fire Brigade of Myanmar. The leak involved biochemical substances (Peptone), Methylene Blue, and Safranin disinfectant from the laboratory within the University of Medicine 1 compound. In connection with this incident, a fire engine from the Chaungtadar Township Fire Station, along with firefighters, provided assistance in clearing and relocating the chemicals within the laboratory.
