A lawsuit questioning President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) diploma is set to resume in an Indonesian court, with Tifauziah Tyassuma, widely known as 'Dr. Tifa,' as the defendant. The East Jakarta District Court has scheduled the hearing for Thursday, August 6. The proceedings are restarting after prosecutors revised their indictment and refiled the case documents to the court. The court received the case files on Wednesday, July 27, under case number 354/Pid.B/2026/PN Jaktim. According to the court's spokesperson, the trial will commence from the beginning with the reading of a new indictment by the prosecutors. Previously, the panel of judges at the East Jakarta District Court had granted Dr. Tifa's objection. In an interim ruling delivered on Thursday, July 23, the judges declared the prosecutor's indictment inaccurate and vague, thus legally null and void. Consequently, the examination could not proceed to the evidentiary stage, and the trial was halted. The case originated from allegations made by Dr. Tifa questioning the authenticity of President Jokowi's academic credentials.
