Vietnam Connects Technology, Builds Smart Healthcare Ecosystem

Ho Chi Minh City, July 31 – The Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Startup organized a technology showcase and networking event themed "AI and Digital Technologies for Smart Healthcare: From Diagnosis and Treatment to Remote Care." The program aims to promote digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in Vietnam's healthcare sector, fostering an innovative ecosystem. Emphasis was placed on accelerating the adoption of AI in grassroots healthcare facilities. AI is expected to enhance the accuracy of medical diagnoses, enable personalized treatment plans, and improve the quality of patient care through remote healthcare services. A key focus was also on developing technologies to make robotic-assisted surgery significantly more affordable compared to global costs. The goal is to allow more medical facilities and patients to benefit from advanced technology by substantially reducing the cost of robotic surgery, which is considered high worldwide. Robotic endoscopy surgery is recognized as a technological breakthrough in cancer treatment and highlights the advancement of Vietnam's medical technology. These technological innovations are expected to contribute to the overall efficiency and quality improvement of Vietnam's healthcare system.
