Vietnam Border Guards Spearhead Digital Transformation, Supporting Border Communities
Vietnam's Border Guards are taking on a new role beyond traditional border security, actively supporting the digital transformation of local communities. In addition to contributing to poverty reduction and socio-economic development, they aim to improve the lives of border residents through digital skill dissemination and infrastructure development.
In addition to their traditional mission of national security, Vietnam's Border Guards are undertaking a new role in promoting digital transformation. They are strengthening support for digitalization to contribute to the improvement of living standards for border residents and the sustainable development of local communities. The Border Guards of Dak Lak province are deepening cooperation with local residents and supporting the advancement of digitalization. This is expected to make it easier for residents to access new technologies and information, thereby vitalizing economic activities and improving their quality of life. The unit also actively contributes to rescue operations during natural disasters and infrastructure development in local communities, with its achievements being recognized and awarded at various levels. The Border Guards of Son La province also contribute to the education sector by supporting preparations for the new school year through cooperation with local communities. The Border Guards of Ca Mau province are dedicated to supporting recovery from natural disasters, contributing to the stabilization of residents' lives. These activities are part of the national development strategy pursued under Vietnam's one-party system, particularly aimed at correcting socio-economic disparities in border areas and strengthening national integration. In its relationship with China, the stability and development of border areas are also important factors in maintaining bilateral relations.
