ADB Delegation Inspects Irrigation Project in Takeo, Boosting Agricultural Sector
A delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) inspected the progress of an irrigation project in Takeo province, Cambodia. The project aims to enhance agricultural productivity, adapt to climate change, and stimulate the regional economy.
On Monday, the 3rd day of the waxing moon of the month of Phatrabot, in the year of the Hare, the 8th year of the Buddhist Era 2570, corresponding to September 14, 2026, His Excellency Chan Sinat, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, on behalf of His Excellency Thor Cheath, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, continued to lead a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), led by Mr. Long Piseth, to inspect the progress of the Irrigation and Agricultural Infrastructure Improvement Project (IAIP) in the geographical area of Takeo province. On this occasion, His Excellency the Secretary of State stated that the 'No. 15 Canal System and Sampou Pumping Station' project, under ADB financing, has received high evaluation from ADB in promoting the livelihoods of the people and the national economy.
