Shan State opens One Stop Service Center for development of micro, small and medium enterprises

It is reported that the One Stop Service Center of the Shan State Agency for the Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has been opened. The center was inaugurated at 9 AM on Monday, July 20, at the former office of the former ministers in Taunggyi City. Two ministers from Shan State, heads of departments, and business entrepreneurs attended the event. "The purpose of opening the One Stop Service Center today is to enable local entrepreneurs to understand their business activities in a short period of time and to resolve any difficulties they may face. Entrepreneurs will no longer have to spend a lot of time. With all departments gathered in one place, they will be able to proceed quickly and smoothly. To increase the country's GDP, we must work to develop the production sector. For entrepreneurs who are about to start, technology is important. There is production technology and agricultural technology. If you need anything related to the market, please come to our department," said U Nyi Nyi Aung, Deputy Director of the SME Department of the Shan State Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection. It was explained that 14 related departments have been consolidated in one place to facilitate and streamline the process for entrepreneurs who are about to start their businesses, enabling them to carry out their work efficiently and quickly in a short period of time. These departments are (1) the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection, (2) the Department of Small-Scale Industries and Handicrafts, (3) the Department of Consumer Affairs, (4) the Department of Livestock and Veterinary Services, (5) the Department of Agriculture, (6) the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, (7) the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank, (8) the Myanma Economic Bank, (9) the Myanma Insurance Corporation, (10) the Department of Internal Revenue, (11) the Department of Cooperatives, (12) the City Development Department, (13) the Food and Drug Administration Department, and (14) the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration. "The purpose of today's ceremony is to enable the One Stop Service to resolve the difficulties and legal procedures that entrepreneurs want to know about in the development and promotion of MSME businesses. As an entrepreneur, it takes a lot of time to inquire with all departments if you want to know about capital, technology, or market conditions. Here, all departments are gathered to fulfill the needs of entrepreneurs and provide services. This saves time. Currently, 14 departments are involved, and we will expand further if necessary. Entrepreneurs can come to the Shan State SME One Stop Service Center, which is located on the upper floor of the former office of the internal secretaries and has been providing services since today, whether they want to know business-related information, apply for relevant department business licenses, or seek advice on loan matters or market access," said U Kyaw Toe, Acting State Head of the Shan State Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection. "The Department of Small-Scale Industries and Handicrafts will provide services. The department operates in three sectors. First, we provide training for the public to start businesses and engage in production. Recently, we have also been implementing income enhancement plans and carrying out projects for the development of handicraft villages. Second, we register small-scale industries and handicrafts. Third, we conduct laboratory tests to ensure the safety of products from food and import businesses that emerge from small-scale industries and handicrafts. In addition to current operations, we will also carry out technology transfer to support the public's businesses," said U Soe Naing Htoo, State Head of the Shan State Department of Small-Scale Industries and Handicrafts. "The purpose of today's event is that MSME, that is, for the development promoted by the state, our banks support entrepreneurs in obtaining capital. We are doing this to ensure that businesses are successful and that all needs are met. Since services can be provided in one place, time and effort are saved. We provide loans to entrepreneurs who wish to borrow by submitting Form 7, the land use permit, as collateral. Currently, we have not been able to provide loans because there are no farmers whose information matches. However, we expect applications to come in soon," said U Ba Kyaw Tin, Manager of the Myanma Agricultural Development Bank, Shan State Branch.
