Pyin Oo Lwin-Gok Htit railway service to resume

It is reported that the Pyin Oo Lwin-Gok Htit railway service, which was temporarily suspended, will resume its weekly regular service starting September 5. The railway service had to be temporarily suspended due to flooding on the Naungcho-Gok Htit railway section caused by heavy rainfall in Naungcho Township. It is said that regular service will resume now that the track repairs have been completed. In order to resume regular train service, on August 31, Union Minister U Myo Thant, Minister of Transport and Communications, Digital Development and Communications, along with the Deputy Minister, the Minister of Industry, Electricity and Transport of Mandalay Region, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, and responsible officials, rode an RBE train from Pyin Oo Lwin Station to Gok Htit Station and inspected the Pyin Oo Lwin-Gok Htit railway line, it is reported.
