19 members of the KNLA and PDF surrendered and entered the legal fold with weapons and ammunition. The handover ceremony was held at the Southern Command headquarters, where military and regional officials received the group. The surrendered weapons included three rifles, one M-79 launcher, grenades, ammunition, and magazines. Authorities said the individuals received cash rewards for the weapons they handed over and financial assistance before being reunited with their families. The group said they left the armed organizations as they no longer wanted to take part in violence, adding that they were dissatisfied with conditions inside the groups, and wanted to return to peaceful civilian life.
