Sousdey Indonesia 2026 Aims to Boost Indonesian Product Recognition and Bilateral Trade

The Indonesian Embassy in Cambodia, in collaboration with the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, has officially opened 'Sousdey Indonesia 2026'. The event was jointly inaugurated by the Charge d’Affaires of the Republic of Indonesia, Krishnajie Partadireja, and the Permanent Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, H.E. Kem Sithan. 'Sousdey Indonesia 2026' aims to significantly increase the recognition of Indonesian products among the Cambodian people and foster deeper bilateral trade relations between the two nations. This marks the third iteration of the 'Sousdey Indonesia' event, which serves as a platform to showcase Indonesian culture, industries, and products. During the opening ceremony, H.E. Kem Sithan highlighted the importance of economic cooperation between Cambodia and Indonesia, both members of ASEAN. He noted that Cambodia's economic growth strategy prioritizes regional integration and the strengthening of trade ties with its neighbors. Cambodia has been actively developing its infrastructure and manufacturing sectors, welcoming foreign investment and product introductions. Mr. Krishnajie Partadireja expressed his optimism that the event will serve as a bridge for not only product promotion but also for enhancing people-to-people exchanges and cultural understanding. He pointed to Cambodia's recent economic growth, particularly in tourism, and the resulting increase in consumer purchasing power, as indicators of potential new demand for Indonesian goods. The exhibition is expected to feature a wide array of Indonesian exports, including food and beverages, handicrafts, and industrial products. 'Sousdey Indonesia 2026' is designed to provide Cambodian buyers and consumers with an opportunity to discover the diverse range of Indonesian offerings and to facilitate business networking between companies from both countries, ultimately aiming for the expansion of bilateral trade and economic interdependence.
