Mekong, July 24 A clash occurred between State Administration Council (SAC) troops and revolutionary forces near Hsinthapra village in Ywangan Township, Danu Self-Administered Zone, southern Shan State, on the afternoon of July 22, and SAC troops transported bodies after the fighting concluded, according to local residents. According to local residents, the fighting did not last long, only a few minutes. They reported hearing gunshots, after which SAC convoys entered and were seen transporting bodies. "We only heard gunshots for a moment. Then military vehicles came in and we saw them carrying away bodies. We don't know yet which group they fought with," a local resident told Mekong. As of now, the revolutionary force involved in the fighting has not been confirmed, nor have the casualties on both sides been independently verified. "The sudden fighting like this has startled all the villagers. Now, even the sound of something makes us afraid to go outside. The villagers are worried that the situation will worsen," a local resident told Mekong. Revolutionary forces, including the Danu People's Liberation Army (DPLA), the Danu State National Defence Army (DSNDA), and PDF Battalion 1003 under the NUG, are active in Ywangan Township, but no organization has officially released any statement regarding this incident. #MekongNews #SouthernShan #Hsinthapra #Ywangan #DanuSelfAdministeredZone #SAC #Revolutionary
