Thanh Hoa Province Grapples with Major Industrial Accident, 5 Fatalities; Company and Authorities Offer Support

A severe industrial accident occurred around 5:30 PM on July 18th in the filtration tank area of a breeding facility belonging to DABACO Thanh Hoa Company in Thach Quang commune, Thanh Hoa province, resulting in five fatalities. Despite initial first aid and emergency medical treatment at the hospital, three victims died on the evening of the incident, and two more succumbed after being taken for emergency care. Thach Quang commune police, in coordination with professional units and specialized agencies of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, are conducting autopsies, completing necessary procedures, and handing over the bodies to the families for burial according to local customs and traditions. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. The Party Committee and People's Committee of Thach Quang commune have directed relevant agencies, enterprises, medical facilities, and local authorities in the victims' residential areas to coordinate in assessing the situation, offering condolences, and providing support in accordance with regulations. Three working groups from Thach Quang commune, along with delegations from Thanh Hoa province, have visited and provided financial assistance to the affected families within the province. The provincial delegation also visited and encouraged victims receiving intensive treatment at central-level medical facilities and extended condolences to families in Hanoi who lost relatives. Representatives of the enterprise, as the employer, also visited and offered condolences to the victims' families, providing financial support for funeral expenses and pledging to fulfill all responsibilities towards the workers and their families as stipulated by law.
