KPK Summons Jakarta DPRD Member Bebizie in Coal Gratification Case

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned DKI Jakarta Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) member Bebizie Sri Mulyati (BBZ) to be examined as a witness following an inspection on August 13, 2026. KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo stated that Bebizie was summoned by the anti-corruption agency for an investigation into a case of alleged gratification related to coal production that has ensnared former Regent of Kutai Kartanegara, Rita Widyasari. "The examination is scheduled to take place at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, on behalf of BBZ," Budi told journalists in Jakarta on Thursday. As of 12:06 WIB, Bebizie's name had not yet been recorded in the list of witnesses for that Thursday. This matter is an expansion of a case that began when the KPK named the Regent of Kutai Kartanegara Rita Widyasari, the President Director of PT Sawit Golden Prima Hery Susanto Gun, and the Commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama Khairudin as suspects of alleged gratification on September 28, 2017. Rita is suspected of receiving gratification in relation to the granting of a location permit for an oil palm plantation to PT Sawit Golden Prima in Kupang Baru Village, Muara Kaman District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The KPK then developed the case and on January 16, 2018, named Rita and Khairudin as suspects in the alleged money laundering (TPPU) case. On February 19, 2025, the KPK revealed allegations of receiving funds from the coal mining sector by Rita with a value of up to around 5 US dollars per metric ton of coal. A year later, on February 19, 2026, the KPK named three corporations as suspects in the alleged gratification case related to coal production in Kutai Kartanegara. The three corporations are PT Sinar Kumala Naga, PT Alamjaya Barapratama, and PT Bara Kumala Sakti.
