Vietnam and Cambodia Prioritize Strong Ties, Deepening Economic and Security Cooperation

Vietnam and Cambodia have agreed to prioritize their bilateral relationship, focusing on comprehensive and sustainable cooperation in economic, security, and other broad areas. This signifies the deepening of their strategic partnership, contributing to regional stability and economic growth. On the afternoon of July 28, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung met with Cambodian National Assembly Chairman Samdech Khuon Sudary, who is on an official visit to Vietnam. During the meeting, the importance of the traditional friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries was reaffirmed. Cambodian National Assembly Chairman Samdech Khuon Sudary stated that the relationship with Vietnam is a "top priority" and expressed a desire to further expand cooperation based on shared interests. Strengthening economic ties, in particular, is expected to boost economic growth for both sides and contribute to improving the lives of their citizens. Furthermore, cooperation in the security sector was recognized as essential for maintaining overall regional stability. Vietnam places great importance on its relationship with Cambodia, and this meeting served as an opportunity to further solidify the trust between the two nations.
