Vietnam to Establish New Platforms for Semiconductor and Electronics Industry Students

Against the backdrop of the rapid development of the electronics and semiconductor industries in Vietnam, the provision of academic platforms where students can access the latest technologies and unleash their creativity is becoming increasingly crucial. The platforms being considered aim to strengthen collaboration between universities, research institutions, and the industry, providing students with opportunities to acquire practical skills. This is expected to include access to the latest experimental equipment, mentorship from industry experts, and participation in international competitions. Under Vietnam's one-party system, industrial development is strongly driven by national strategies. The semiconductor and electronics industries are anticipated to be new engines of economic growth, and talent development in this field is essential for Vietnam's economic independence and enhanced international competitiveness. Furthermore, amidst the complex relationship with China, Vietnam is accelerating efforts to diversify its supply chains, and the development of a skilled domestic workforce serves as the foundation for this strategy.
