Lao Cai International Border Gate Celebrates Vietnam's National Day

A flag-raising ceremony was held at the Lao Cai International Border Gate (Land Port No. 1) in Lao Cai Province, northern Vietnam, early on September 1st, by the Border Guard of the Lao Cai International Border Gate to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026). The region anticipates future development with the Vietnamese government's approval of the smart border gate construction project in Lao Cai Province. Furthermore, the customs at Lao Cai International Border Gate has already generated over 204 billion VND (approximately 1.2 billion JPY) in revenue since the beginning of the year, with cumulative revenue exceeding 1,200 billion VND (approximately 7.2 billion JPY). This is a positive indicator of the active import and export activities of goods through the border gate. Vietnam is celebrating the 81st anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by President Ho Chi Minh. For Vietnam, which continues to experience economic growth under its one-party system, the modernization and efficiency of border gates are essential elements for promoting international trade and revitalizing the regional economy. Lao Cai, situated on the border with China, is a crucial point for logistics between the two countries, and its importance is growing.
