Prime Minister Le Minh Hung Pays Tribute to Fallen Heroes at Dien Bien Phu

On July 25, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27), Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and his delegation visited Dien Bien province. During their trip, they laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the fallen heroes at Dien Bien Phu. The Prime Minister also paid respects by offering incense at the Truong Son National Cemetery, the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Special National Monument, the Tam Co Cave Special National Monument, and the Dong Loc Junction. These locations are significant sites related to Vietnam's historical struggles. These visits underscore the gratitude towards those who sacrificed their lives for national independence and the peaceful lives of the people under Vietnam's single-party system, reflecting a commitment to carrying forward their legacy. This also highlights Vietnam's acknowledgment of its history, marked by immense sacrifices during past wars, as it continues to pursue rapid economic growth. The Battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1954 was pivotal in securing independence from French colonial rule. The Prime Minister's act of remembrance is seen as part of the Vietnamese government's ongoing efforts to foster national unity and impart historical lessons to future generations.
