Cambodia's CPP Holds Kracheh Meeting to Boost Local Development and Information Control

The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) held a meeting in Kracheh province on July 26, 2026, led by Mr. Net PhakTra, a member of the CPP Central Committee and head of the party's working group for the province. The meeting aimed to summarize the results of the party's work for the first quarter of 2026 and set future directions for the party committee and the working group. Attended by the Deputy Head of the Government Working Group for the province, along with leaders and members of the CPP working at the grassroots level, the meeting reviewed and assessed the work accomplished. The meeting also discussed future directions and measures to strengthen the efficiency of the party committee and working groups at all levels. These efforts are intended to respond to the actual needs of the people and promote local development. Mr. Net PhakTra highly commended the efforts and sense of responsibility of the provincial party committee, the grassroots working groups, and party committees at all levels for their active cooperation in fulfilling political tasks. He noted that these efforts have achieved significant results and contributed to improving the living standards of the people and local development. He instructed them to continue strengthening party building and membership expansion, reinforcing internal solidarity, and maintaining regular contact with the grassroots through addressing the requests and concerns of the people. He also encouraged support for the implementation of the government's policies and development programs at the local level, as well as participation in maintaining security, public order, and community harmony. During the occasion, Mr. Net PhakTra highlighted the importance of strengthening information dissemination. He urged party working groups and relevant authorities to continue disseminating information from clear, accurate, and timely sources, enabling the public to receive true information and understand the government's activities and local development. Concurrently, he reminded them to pay close attention to information sharing on social media, encouraging the verification of sources before disseminating or sharing content. He warned that unverified or fake news could lead to misunderstandings, mislead public opinion, affect social order, and cause confusion regarding the implementation of policies and development work at the local level. The head of the party working group also instructed party committees and working groups at all levels to continue strengthening the dissemination of true information with transparency and responsibility. They were also tasked with monitoring, investigating, and clarifying false or fake news intended to mislead public opinion, cause public misunderstanding, and harm social stability. He urged party working groups to further promote internal solidarity, maintain discipline and ethics, and embody good conduct as party officials. They are expected to serve as role models for the people, adhering to the principle of "going to the grassroots, understanding the people's difficulties, solving the people's problems, and taking responsibility for work results."
