Jakarta Reports Significant Reduction in Slum Neighborhoods

The Jakarta provincial government and Statistics Indonesia (BPS) announced a reduction in slum neighborhoods (RW) from 445 in 2017 to 211 by 2026. Governor Pramono Anung attributed this to long-term urban development efforts, while BPS confirmed the data using satellite imagery and field surveys.
