National Economic Promotion Fund invests over 455 billion kyats

It has been learned from the Union-level Business Supervision Committee that over 455 billion kyats are being invested in the agriculture and livestock sectors using the National Economic Promotion Fund. Among the projects currently being carried out with the National Economic Promotion Fund, 37.236 billion kyats have been allocated for the monsoon and dry season rice programs, oil crop (groundnut, sesame, sunflower) programs, and export rice cultivation zone programs in the agriculture sector. Additionally, 1.994 billion kyats are being used for 380 irrigation facility development projects, including solar systems, in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory and four regions. Furthermore, in the livestock sector, 51.21 billion kyats are being invested in short-term and long-term livestock business programs in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory and various regions and states, using initial capital with principal protection. In addition, in the industrial agriculture sector, it is understood that funding of 3.024 billion kyats is being provided for the production of 123,000 hand-push seeders (Drum Seeders) required in six regions, including the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory.
