Thailand Cracks Down on Foreign Real Estate Fraud with 'Phangan Model'

Thailand's National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has launched an operation dubbed the 'Phangan Model' to combat foreign nationals illicitly acquiring real estate by using Thai citizens as nominees. This initiative targets organized crime exploiting loopholes in regulations concerning foreign property ownership, particularly in resort areas.
