AA Urgently Warns of Attacks from Warships on Rakhine, Air Strikes Also Carried Out

Ayeyarwaddy Times September 3 The Arakan Army (AA) Information and Public Relations Department issued an urgent warning today, September 3, urging the public to be extremely vigilant as naval attacks are being carried out from military warships deployed at sea towards the cities of Gwa, Kyauktaw, and Kyauktaw and their surrounding areas in Rakhine State. It has been confirmed that naval shelling from military warships of the army deployed at sea towards the aforementioned cities and their surrounding areas began around 11:02 AM today. It was also reported that approximately 10 military warships were present in the sea near Shwe Thong Yan on August 29, conducting patrols, and that about six to 10 warships were stationed and active in the sea near Gwa and Kyauktaw cities. The Arakan Army (AA) has stated that further details regarding these attacks will be released. In addition, in the villages surrounding the three cities of Ponnagyun-Sittwe-Rathedaung in the Rakhine region, such as Kwan Taw Village, Kontan Gyaing Chaung Village, Makkarat Cha Village, between Nyoe Yaung and Min La villages, in Rathedaung Township, at Kyet Roe Seik Village on the Mawsay coast and between Nyang Pin Gyi (Muslim Village), and in Rathedaung Township, at Kyet Roe Seik Village on the Mawsay coast and between Nyang Pin Gyi (Rakhine Village), starting around 1:35 PM today, September 3, the army carried out bombing attacks with four jet fighter aircraft, circling approximately 30 times within 30 minutes.
