PLATOONS from battalions under the Philippine Army’s 10th Infantry Division began a seven-day combat proficiency and preparedness competition at Camp General Manuel Yan in Mawab, Davao de Oro on Sunday. Division Commander Major General Alvin V. Luzon said the exercises are designed to assess the combat readiness of troops through scenario-based drills and identify innovations to improve operational capability. The competition involves male platoons from the division’s battalions and the 11th Regional Community Defense Group, alongside female personnel from the division’s three brigades, as part of efforts to strengthen security operations in Regions 10, 11 and 13. — John Felix M.
