DEMU train and tractor collide between Pyuntansa and Daikoo, two on tractor dead

As a result of the collision, the tractor was broken in two and damaged, and the two male passengers on the tractor died at the scene, it has been learned. The Shwe Ye Nway Social Welfare Association went to the scene to provide assistance, rescuing those trapped inside the tractor and helping to transport the bodies of the two deceased to Pyuntansa Township Hospital, it has been learned. It has also been learned that the front of the DEMU train sustained damage due to the collision between the train and the tractor. Furthermore, on September 13, the 5th Up DEMU express train, which departed from Yangon at 7 AM, also collided with a motorcycle with a sidecar that suddenly crossed the tracks, resulting in the deaths of one monk and one novice who were on the sidecar, bringing the total number of fatalities from accidents at railway crossings to four over two consecutive days, it has been learned. Regarding this situation, a Myanmar Railways official wrote on a social network, "(Those crossing the railway tracks need to be disciplined. Yesterday, the 5th Up train collided with a sidecar motorcycle. One monk and one novice passed away. Today, the 8th Down train collided with a tractor. Both individuals on the tractor died instantly.
