Thai Deputy Transport Minister Siripong Angkasakulkiet has responded humorously to criticisms labeling new ministers as 'favored children.' He quipped, 'If I were a favored child, I wouldn't need to eat,' while expressing confidence that all ministers in the new cabinet would achieve concrete results within three months of their appointment. He added that 'ministers with no achievements exist in every government.' When asked about the current situation where ministers are being watched to see if they can perform as 'favored children,' Deputy Minister Siripong stated, 'I feel I am being paid attention to' and emphasized that his work is progressing. He suggested that each minister is carrying out their respective duties and that three months is still a short period to evaluate their achievements. Responding to a question about whether he felt ministers were under special scrutiny, he immediately replied, 'I feel important.'
