Nearly 400 km of expressways opened to traffic in H1
Vietnam has opened nearly 400 km of expressways in the first half of the year, accelerating infrastructure development. Economically, Vietnam's exports of wood and wood products exceeded $17 billion for the first time in 2025, reaching a record $17.2 billion. There is a growing consensus that trade promotion needs to become more specialized, focusing on the specific demands of each market and sector, rather than relying on traditional promotional events. Meanwhile, smuggling and the production and trade of prohibited goods are becoming increasingly sophisticated, with criminal networks operating across both physical and online spaces. In the first six months of the year, legal proceedings were initiated against 1,333 cases involving 2,354 suspects. The expansion of the expressway network and the development of EV charging infrastructure are poised to be vital foundations for revitalizing the domestic economy and achieving sustainable growth in Vietnam, as the nation pursues multifaceted development.
