Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Honors Heroes and Martyrs in Quang Tri Province

A delegation from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) visited Quang Tri Province on July 18 to pay tribute and express gratitude to the heroes and martyrs of the Vietnam War. The delegation was led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, and General Director of VBSP. Quang Tri Province is known as a fierce battlefield during the Vietnam War, having suffered many casualties. In the province, efforts are underway to build and repair housing for revolutionary contributors, families of fallen soldiers, and individuals affected by chemical agents such as Agent Orange. It has been reported that 3,520 housing units have been provided. Furthermore, approximately 20,000 patients from neighboring areas have received diagnosis and treatment for eye diseases in the province, indicating efforts to improve access to medical services. A delegation from the National Assembly also visited the province to commemorate the heroes and martyrs. VBSP is a key institution under Vietnam's one-party system, providing financial services aimed at poverty reduction and social welfare improvement. This visit can be seen as an expression of gratitude and solidarity, considering the country's historical context and the implementation of social policies.
