Shwe Pan police station and checkpoint attacked, 9 soldiers killed and large quantities of weapons and ammunition seized

The Shwe Pan police station and the SAC checkpoint located on the Magway-Kanpyar-Magway-Naypyidaw road were attacked and seized by revolutionary joint forces around 3 AM today, July 25, according to a statement released by the Naypyidaw PDF. The Shwe Pan police station and checkpoint are located at the border of Naypyidaw and Magway Region, and it is a camp commanded by a major-level officer with approximately 30 soldiers and police personnel. During the battle, nine members of the force, including the major, were killed, and a police sergeant major who was oppressing local residents also died. The remaining military personnel reportedly fled with injuries. Following the capture of the station, the Shwe Pan police station and checkpoint were set on fire and destroyed, and five small arms, a large caliber gun barrel, ammunition, and some cash were seized. One howitzer barrel was destroyed due to difficulties in transportation. It was also stated that the station capture attack was carried out jointly by Infantry Battalions No. 903 and 803 of the Naypyidaw Regional Operations Command, and that there were no casualties on the side of the revolutionary fighters.
