Two Rare Opah Fish Caught Off Antique Coast

Two opah fish, rare deep-water creatures known for their ability to maintain a body temperature warmer than the surrounding seawater, were caught off Caluya, Antique, on Thursday, September 17. The larger of the two specimens weighed approximately 80 kilograms, while the other was around 60 kilograms. This marks only the second recorded occurrence of these unusual fish in the area.
