The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) officially inaugurated its new party headquarters in Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province, on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The ceremony was presided over by Men Sam An, Honorary Vice President of the CPP. The new facility is seen as a new symbol of the CPP's growth and solidarity at the local level. According to a report by Lim Siengheng, Chairman of the CPP Bavet City Committee, the new building measures 26 meters by 24.06 meters and stands two stories high. It is equipped with an LED screen, various office supplies, and a sound system in the conference hall. Constructed on a 1,500 square meter plot, the total construction cost amounted to $483,635 and 15,700,000 Riel (approximately $3,900), bringing the total investment to over $520,000. Solar panels have also been installed. During the event, Dr. Ly Thuch, Chairman of the party's working group for Bavet City, highlighted that the luxurious party headquarters was built through the enthusiastic contributions of His Excellency, Excellencies, the provincial working group for Svay Rieng, and various philanthropists. The facility aims to enhance the effectiveness of political activities and public service delivery. Men Sam An expressed gratitude to all philanthropists for their generous contributions and personal sacrifices in building this historic achievement. She stated that these efforts are a vital driving force for strengthening the party's structure at the grassroots level and expanding its capacity to serve the people, reflecting the political maturity of the CPP in leading the nation under the correct political line, particularly Prime Minister Hun Sen's "Win-Win" policy. Men Sam An emphasized that under the wise leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen, Bavet City has been transformed from a war-torn and divided land into a dynamic economic hub with significant potential. Currently, Bavet City boasts special economic zones, large factories, and enterprises, capable of absorbing tens of thousands of workers, thereby improving the daily lives of citizens and substantially reducing emigration. She conveyed a firm message to all levels of the CPP committee in Bavet City, urging them to diligently preserve and protect the new headquarters and utilize it as a core base for serving the public with integrity. Furthermore, she stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen internal solidarity, promptly addressing the concerns of local residents, and cooperating to maintain security and public order within the special economic zone and throughout Bavet City. This, she noted, is crucial for fostering a welcoming environment and instilling high confidence among national and international investors.
