Food Aid Delivered to Preah Vihear Frontline Troops, Boosting Morale from the Rear

In Cambodia's Preah Vihear province, on August 6, 2026, Ms. Khoy Bunthan, a member of the provincial council, and Ms. Hem Sokunpisey, Director of the Provincial Department of Information, along with colleagues, personally delivered food supplies, a generous donation from Ms. Sokha Kongpisey Kim Rithy, to two frontline units of the 8th Intervention Infantry Division. These troops are stationed at the forefront defending the territorial integrity in the first sector of the Preah Vihear Temple area. During the occasion, Ms. Khoy Bunthan emphasized that the aid and food supplies were the most noble and generous gesture from Ms. Sokha Kongpisey Kim Rithy, conveyed through the Provincial Department of Information. She conveyed the profound regards and solicitous messages from the leadership at the rear to all the heroic soldiers at the front, who are consistently remembered and cared for by the leadership regarding their well-being at all times. Concurrently, Ms. Hem Sokunpisey, Director of the Provincial Department of Information, expressed her deep respect and admiration, wishing all the heroic soldiers abundant health, strong vigor, and success in all their duties, especially victory in all battles for the noble cause of defending national territorial integrity and sovereignty. In response, a representative of the heroic soldiers from the 8th Intervention Infantry Division expressed immense joy and excitement over the attention and affection from the rear. They considered the donations and the personal visit as a significant source of encouragement, further strengthening their courage and resolve. Furthermore, to reciprocate the noble sentiment from the rear, all the heroic soldiers made a firm commitment to stand firm in defending the territorial integrity of the motherland to ensure its perpetuity and pledged to defend it to the very end. The donated items included 400 bottles (200 cases) of 1,500ml purified water, 50 cases of V-Active beverages, and 200 cases of instant noodles.
