The 16th campus of Westline International School has officially opened in Svay Rieng City, Svay Rieng Province, on July 19, 2026. The school aims to provide international standard education services in Cambodia, offering modern learning environments and quality educational opportunities, especially to children and youth in Svay Rieng and surrounding areas. His Excellency Men Sam An, Senior Advisor to the King, attended the ceremony as the chief guest and praised private investment in the education sector. Mr. Pich Bolen, Chairman of the Board of Westline Education Group, reported that since its establishment in 2008 with 600 students and 70 staff, the group has grown significantly to 30 campuses, serving over 16,000 students and employing more than 1,600 staff. He outlined plans to integrate the latest knowledge from abroad into the curriculum, focusing on life skills and digital literacy. Mr. Peng Posa, Governor of Svay Rieng Province, stated that education at Westline not only imparts knowledge but also contributes to the development of ethics, professional integrity, and morality. He expressed his gratitude to Mr. Pich Bolen for his investment in establishing the school in Svay Rieng. His Excellency Men Sam An highly commended the expansion of investment and the introduction of international standard education by Westline Education Group, expressing confidence that the school will significantly contribute to the development of high-quality human resources for Svay Rieng Province and the nation. He further highlighted the opening as a testament to the strong collaboration between the government and the private sector in enhancing educational quality and human resource development, which are crucial foundations for sustainable social and economic growth. His Excellency Men Sam An affirmed support for private sector investment in education, aligning with the implementation of the first phase of the "Pentagonal Strategy" under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet. He noted that the school's opening is consistent with the strategy's five approaches: human, road, water, electricity, and digital. In his concluding remarks, His Excellency Men Sam An urged educators to consistently enhance educational quality. He emphasized the importance of nurturing not only knowledge and foreign languages but also discipline, morality, and patriotism, transforming the school into a platform for cultivating good citizens. He also called upon parents and guardians to actively cooperate with the school and provide warm support from within the family, as the education and future of children are not solely the responsibility of the school but require dedicated parental involvement.
