Vietnam Fines Gas Station for Unauthorized Price Hike

A gas station in Vietnam's Nghe An province, Thanh Binh, has been fined VND40 million (approximately $1,600 USD) for unilaterally increasing its retail gasoline prices outside of the regulated periods set by distributors. Authorities confirmed the station illegally profited nearly VND2.5 million (approximately $100 USD) by selling 733 liters of gasoline at inflated prices between late June and early July.
