He also expressed his profound gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia for its consistent support and full cooperation, which facilitated the success of his diplomatic mission and led to numerous remarkable achievements in economic, trade, investment, security, and national defense sectors, among others. Ambassador Ueno highlighted the increasing investment by major Japanese companies in Cambodia, such as Toyota, which not only creates jobs for Cambodian citizens but also brings advanced technology and skills training to the Cambodian people. He thanked the Cambodian government for its attention, support, and encouragement to Japanese investors. Furthermore, he affirmed that Japan will continue to provide support and cooperation with Cambodia to further strengthen and expand bilateral relations. In response, Samdech Thipadei congratulated His Excellency the Ambassador on the successful completion of his diplomatic mission in Cambodia. Samdech Thipadei also highly valued His Excellency's active contribution to promoting and enhancing Cambodia-Japan relations and cooperation. Samdech Thipadei underscored the government's high attention to ensuring a favorable investment environment through the implementation of significant reforms, particularly the adjustment of the structure and working mechanisms of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the modernization of the tax system, to facilitate and increase the confidence of foreign investors to invest more in Cambodia. Samdech Thipadei affirmed that the government will continue to support all cooperation in all sectors between the ministries and institutions of the two countries. Before concluding, Samdech Thipadei and Ambassador Ueno exchanged views on further promoting cooperation in many potential sectors, including digital economy, security and national defense, as well as boosting the connectivity of production chains and logistics through the development of the Sihanoukville deep-sea port project, aiming to transform it into a key regional logistics hub in the future.
