Vietnam-Japan Defense Cooperation Gains Effectiveness and Practicality
Vietnam's Minister of National Defense, General Phan Văn Giang, met with Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Ito Naoki, confirming the growing effectiveness and practicality of defense cooperation between the two countries. On the morning of July 8, 2023, in Hanoi, General Phan Văn Giang, Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, held a meeting with Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam. During the meeting, both sides agreed that defense cooperation between the two countries has been increasingly effective and practical year by year.
