PVI Insurance Integrates International Roadside Assistance Services

PVI Insurance, a leading insurer in Vietnam, has announced its integration of international Roadside Assistance (RSA) services for select auto insurance policyholders through a partnership with Allianz Partners. This move addresses the growing demand for support services following vehicle incidents, driven by the increasing number of personal cars. The collaboration allows customers with specific car models insured under PVI Insurance's comprehensive vehicle insurance to receive RSA services in addition to their existing coverage. This service aims to provide prompt on-site assistance during emergencies, extending beyond traditional financial compensation to include support for travel and accommodation needs. The 24/7 RSA service covers common issues such as dead batteries, flat tires, fuel shortages, and locked-out situations. If a vehicle cannot be repaired on-site, a free towing service up to 50 km is provided, transporting the vehicle to a designated repair shop or customer-specified location. For longer journeys where a vehicle requires garage repair and the owner cannot continue their trip, support may include rental car arrangements, taxi or public transport facilitation, or assistance with hotel accommodation and associated costs within stipulated limits. Mr. Vu Ngoc Hung, Director of PVI Insurance's Mechanical Vehicle Department, stated the company's intention to address the "blind spots" in traditional car insurance perception in Vietnam, where customers often feel abandoned during technical breakdowns unrelated to accidents. "The RSA privilege is not a paper commitment, but a practical rescue. We don't wait for major incidents; we protect the continuity of our customers' every kilometer of travel," he affirmed. Through this strategic partnership with PVI Insurance, Allianz Partners aims to bring these international rescue standards to Vietnamese customers. PVI Insurance indicated that the integration of RSA into its auto insurance products reflects a broader trend of insurance companies expanding their services from post-risk compensation to enhanced customer support throughout the vehicle's lifecycle. This new benefit is expected to offer policyholders an additional point of contact for emergencies, minimizing travel disruptions and unexpected expenses.
