Thai PM Outlines Strategy for New World Order, Addressing Economic and Geopolitical Risks

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is scheduled to deliver a vision on Thailand's strategic positioning in the new world order at The INTANIA Forum: SURVIVING UNDER THE NEW WORLD ORDER on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Engineering Auditorium, Chulalongkorn University. The event is organized by the Association of Chulalongkorn University Engineering Alumni (ACUEA). Government spokesperson Rachada Thanadirek announced that the forum is being held at a time when the world is facing significant changes, including superpower competition, economic volatility, supply chain shifts, technological advancements, and geopolitical fluctuations. These factors directly impact trade, investment, security, and development trajectories of nations, including Thailand. The Prime Minister's address will outline Thailand's strategic placement within this new global landscape, emphasizing the enhancement of competitiveness, infrastructure development, investment attraction, creation of new economic opportunities, and preparedness to navigate global changes with stability and sustainability. The event will also feature panel discussions with representatives from the government, private sector, and academia to analyze global economic and geopolitical trends and propose strategies to strengthen Thailand's potential and leverage global changes effectively. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeaw, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Supamas Isarapakdi, Minister of Defence Lt. Gen. Adul Boonmasern, along with government officials, business leaders, academics, and the ACUEA committee are expected to attend. The INTANIA Forum aims to be a platform for exchanging views and policy recommendations to help Thailand identify both risks and opportunities arising from the changing world order.
