Kandal Governor Inspects Two Casinos Ordered to Suspend Operations Amidst Crackdown on Online Scams
Kandal Provincial Governor Kuoch Chamroeun inspected two casinos that were previously ordered to suspend operations as part of a crackdown on online scams. The governor stressed the importance of continuous and responsible guarding at these locations to prevent any recurrence of illegal activities.
Kandal Provincial Governor Kuoch Chamroeun, who also serves as the Chairman of the Provincial Administration's Unity Command, led a delegation on September 15, 2023, to inspect two casinos in Sampov Poun district that had been previously ordered to suspend operations. During the on-site inspection, Governor Kuoch Chamroeun issued a stern directive to the security forces, relevant authorities, and the Sampov Poun district command. He emphasized the need for proper and highly responsible guarding of the two casino locations on a continuous basis to ensure that no offenders can infiltrate and engage in online scam activities. The delegation's visit also saw the participation of representatives from the National Police Headquarters, the National Military Police, and the Provincial Court Prosecutor. The working group inspected the premises of Rich World K.H. Co., Ltd. and Golden Fortune Resort World Co., Ltd., both casinos situated within the jurisdiction of Sampov Poun district, Kandal province, which had been ordered to close and suspend their operations in the past.
