Vietnam Reaffirms Support for Palestinian People at UN
At a UN Security Council debate, Vietnam reaffirmed its consistent support for the Palestinian people's legitimate struggle. The National Assembly Chairman and UN representatives emphasized the importance of a two-state solution and adherence to international law.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent support for the Palestinian people's legitimate struggle and the Vietnamese legislature always backs efforts to expand cooperation with Palestine across various fields. Stressing that these crises are inflicting immense suffering on civilians, disrupting global trade and energy supplies, and eroding trust in multilateral mechanisms, Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hai Luu stressed that there can be no military solution to the challenges facing the Middle East. Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hoang Nguyen, Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent stance of supporting the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, Palestine’s UN full membership, and the two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions. Thai exports to the US grew over the first nine months of the fiscal year (starting October 1, 2025), up by nearly 34% year-on-year for a value of 2.13 trillion THB (63.32 billion USD).
