Cambodian PM Hun Manet to Visit China for High-Level Talks and World AI Conference
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet will visit China from July 15-17 for high-level talks with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang. He will also attend the World AI Conference in Shanghai, aiming to deepen bilateral ties and boost economic cooperation.
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet will lead a high-level delegation of senior government officials and private sector representatives on an official working visit to the People's Republic of China from July 15 to 17, 2026. According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the three-day visit aims to inject fresh momentum into the Cambodia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation, advance the "Diamond Cooperation Framework," and promote the building of a Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future in the New Era. Prime Minister Hun Manet is scheduled to call on Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold a bilateral meeting with Premier Li Qiang to discuss deepening enduring friendships and advancing mutually beneficial cooperation. Additionally, at the invitation of the Chinese government, the Prime Minister will attend and deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the World AI Conference in Shanghai on July 17. This year's event is themed "AI Partnership for a Brighter Future." The Prime Minister will also meet with prominent representatives of the Chinese business community to foster trade and investment opportunities.
