Man Arrested in Medan for Producing and Selling Gay Pornographic Content

A 34-year-old man has been arrested by the police in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia, for allegedly producing and selling gay-themed pornographic content. The suspect, identified by the initials BI, also known as Zilla, was apprehended in his rented room in Medan Tembung District. According to Kombes Pol Jean Calvijn Simanjuntak, the Head of the Medan Metropolitan Police, the arrest was part of a "Pekat Operation." He highlighted the gay pornography case as a prominent one among those revealed. "One of the prominent cases revealed was the gay pornography case. The suspect sold pornographic video content through the MiChat application for Rp 50,000," said Kombes Pol Jean Calvijn on Wednesday (5/8). Meanwhile, AKBP Adrian Rizky Lubis, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Medan Metropolitan Police, stated that BI was arrested on Tuesday, July 14, around 5:00 PM Western Indonesian Time. The arrest was based on community information regarding alleged homosexual pornography activities. "Based on information obtained from the community, clues were found regarding homosexual pornography activities. Then, the Opsnal Team Unit VI PPA Satreskrim Polrestabes Medan succeeded in arresting suspect BI at his boarding house," explained AKBP Adrian. AKBP Adrian added that at the time of his arrest, BI was in his boarding room, waiting for a guest while wearing a black satin nightgown. "Suspect BI committed alleged criminal acts of producing and selling pornographic video content, in which the suspect also acted as the performer," explained AKBP Adrian. According to him, suspect BI had repeatedly produced and sold pornographic video content for Rp50,000 per four videos. "Initially, the suspect offered sexual services on the MiChat application to engage in sexual relations. Then suspect BI recorded and collected these videos," he elaborated. However, allegedly due to economic factors, he added, suspect BI sold these pornographic video contents on the MiChat application.
