A convoy of 26 military vessels belonging to the interim government forces, which sailed up the Chindwin River, has now arrived at Mauktaw port, and the No. 3 Battalion of Mauktaw District has issued an emergency warning and appeal to local residents. The military convoy, while sailing up the river, engaged in indiscriminate firing with heavy and small arms at villages and mountainous areas on both sides of the riverbanks, and also carried out aerial attacks, according to a statement released by the No. 3 Battalion of Mauktaw District yesterday, July 13. Therefore, it is urged that the public in the villages along the Chindwin River should pre-emptively move their important valuable belongings to safe places, and at the places of refuge, they should take shelter by constructing trenches and strong fortifications to protect themselves from aerial and heavy weapon threats. The No. 3 Battalion has warned, "As soon as the military convoys begin to enter our territorial area, please do not go out in crowds or go to see the aircraft and military vessels at all."
