Temporary Enclosure Built for Injured Elderly Elephant 'Phlai Lung Tu' in Dong Yai

The elephant is reported to have suffered significant trauma recently. Known by the affectionate nickname 'Phlai Lung Tu,' the elephant requires intensive care from specialists due to its age and vulnerability in the wild. Authorities acted swiftly to create this safe zone, allowing the elephant to focus on recovery. The electric fence is designed to prevent the elephant from leaving the enclosure and to shield it from external threats. Further investigation is needed to determine the exact cause of the elephant's severe injuries. However, conflicts between wild elephants and humans, as well as incidents of harm to elephants, are recognized public health and environmental concerns in various regions of Thailand.
