Inspection of Development Works: Kayah State CM inspected development works

The Kayah State Chief Minister U Ant Maw, accompanied by members of the state government and responsible officials, inspected the Loikaw Agricultural Research Farm and the landscaping works being carried out by the development committee Wednesday morning. Upon arriving at the Loikaw Agricultural Research Farm, the Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Research explained the cultivation status of crops suitable for the region and climate, including the Yay Hsin-1 paddy variety, seed corn, soybeans, and sunn hemp. The Chief Minister then instructed that new varieties with good quality and high yields should be continuously developed and distributed, and thatmeasures should be taken to create model farms for farmers. Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials proceeded to visit Park No. (1) on Kandarawati Road, Park No. (2) at the corner of Kandarawati Road and Khayay Road, and Park No. (3) at the corner of Kandarawati Road and Nwe Ni-1 Road, where they inspected the beautification works being carried out. The Chief Minister instructed the responsible officials to continuously maintain ornamental plants in order to keep the state capital a clean and green city, it is reported.
