Chonburi Authorities Tighten Pricing Enforcement Ahead of U.S. Navy Visit to Pattaya

CHONBURI: Provincial commerce officials and partner agencies on Tuesday inspected Terminal 21 Pattaya to enforce clear pricing and prevent overcharging as about 5,000 U.S. Navy and Marine personnel prepare to visit the resort city. Banglamung District Chief Anusak Phiriyamorn, Chonburi Provincial Commerce Officer Hathairat Keerivan, Pattaya City public health officials, and representatives from the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) were among those who participated in the inspection. The move comes as authorities are anticipating a significant influx of foreign military personnel and are keen to ensure that consumers, particularly tourists, are not subjected to unfair price hikes or deceptive pricing practices.
