Jakarta Forecasted to Receive Light Rain in the Afternoon, BMKG Reports

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has announced that parts of the Jakarta metropolitan area are likely to experience light rain from Saturday afternoon to evening on September 19th. According to Antara, on Saturday (19/9/2026), the BMKG predicted that as of 7:00 AM WIB, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) would be cloudy. Meanwhile, East Jakarta was forecast to be partly cloudy, and North Jakarta cloudy. At 10:00 AM WIB, the BMKG predicted that five Jakarta regions would be sunny, while the Thousand Islands would be partly cloudy. Entering the afternoon, at 1:00 PM WIB, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and South Jakarta are predicted to be partly cloudy. Meanwhile, East Jakarta and North Jakarta will be cloudy, and the Thousand Islands will have thick clouds. At 4:00 PM WIB, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta are predicted to receive light rain. Meanwhile, North Jakarta is predicted to be heavily cloudy, and the Thousand Islands cloudy. At 7:00 PM WIB, five Jakarta regions are predicted to have light rain, while the Thousand Islands are predicted to be heavily clouded.
