16 townships in Yangon to experience temporary water outage

The Yangon City Development Committee, Engineering Department (Water and Sanitation), has announced that 16 townships in Yangon City will experience a temporary water outage on Monday, July 27, due to maintenance work at the Lawkagar water pumping station. It is reported that due to a transformer malfunction at the Lawkagar pumping station, the large water pumps will be temporarily shut down for maintenance work from 1 PM to 3 PM on Monday, July 27. Therefore, water outages and low water pressure may occur in townships such as Mingaladon, Shwepyitha, Mayangon, Hlaing, Hlaingthaya (Industrial Zone), Insein, Kamayut, Bahan, Pabedan, Chaukhtatgyi, Lanmadaw, Latha, Tamwe, Mingaladon Taungnyo, Pazundaung, and Botataung, which are supplied with water from the Lawkagar reservoir. Residents in these townships are advised to store water in advance, and if they experience difficulties in water usage, they can contact the relevant district phone numbers for assistance.
